livingdebToday was the stressful end of a stressful workweek. Part of the problem is that new course file changes are being submitted as fast as I can process them. And I am putting off all kinds of other things in order to keep up with those.
We had a long and wonderful monthly users' group meeting, but it took a whole work day to get a rough draft of the minutes done.
Other job duties keep getting tossed to me.
And I got two unsolvable problems today. For example, it turns out that if you have two courses that are the same as each other (A = B), and then you change one of them to another course (A is now C, and C = B), and then you start offering different content with the two new courses (C no longer = B), and all of these courses are topics courses (umbrella courses that can be taken repeatedly so long as the topic differs), and one of the current topics is the same as one of the topics that used to be offered in the old replaced course, and a student takes that topic of one course plus any topic of the other course, our system cannot deal with that. If any one of those six things were not true, we could deal with it.
Now it's tomorrow already. I'm going to bed.
