Twenty-five years
Aug. 1st, 2005 10:04 pmSaturday was the 25-year anniversary of one of my co-workers working in Diplomas. This means she was involved in mailing my diploma back in 1988.
We have a tradition for celebration first-year anniversaries and all anniversaries of five-year multiples. The Registrar makes a short speech and presents a framed certificate along with as many "Treasure Bucks" as years of service. These bucks can be used to purchase such Office-of-the-Registrar emblazoned mugs, writing implements, messenger bags and umbrellas.
I decided that wasn't enough. I privately handed her a bag of chocolate bars.
