You can get margarine that is not hydrogenized now.
Flour storage! Yikes, I hadn't even thought of that. I love my plastic flour storage containers! They are a very efficient shape! I do think I should at least warm up my leftovers in glass--I can keep a glass container at work. (I love having access to a sink at work, unlike my last job--I only have to transport the glass container once.)
I know we need carbs, and I'm fine with simple sugars like the fructose in fruit and the lactose in milk. But the amount of added sugar I eat is unnecessary! I actually don't have a healthy, well-rounded diet. It's very light on the fruit and vegetables (which I try to make up for with vitamin/mineral pills and whole grains) and heavy on dessert. But I do agree that dessert every day is not going to hurt me. Or at least I don't mind living my life as if that were true.
