I was just noticing (from Patrick's entry today) that clearly you guys are in a whole different part of the world. I wouldn't like that weather, either, though.

Actually, 90+ days of 90-degree weather is fine (to me). We normally have highs of 95 and lows of 75 through June and July and only have highs of 99 and lows of 79 through August.

I really don't like treadmills, though with a good book or movie they'd be okay. Gyms are pricy and I no longer belong to one. I know what to do: Drink plenty of water, wear a hat if it's sunny to keep my brain from frying or a bandana if it's not to keep sweat from dripping into my eyes, wear small clothing (shorts, t-shirt, short socks) (I do like t-shirts better than tank tops because I can wipe the sweat off with my sleeve), have a long cool down, including after I get inside with the AC, pacing around in the living room near the AC blower and under the fan. But it's much easier to get some good running in with cooler weather. That should be a goal: be in shape enough to actually be able to run faster by the time it's more fun to run faster.
